I normally write my PNR and ticket number (125-XX) on a post-it note ready to hand over at check-in. But actually if the other airline also uses Amadeus you may find they already know, there’s an inbuilt linking feature that works pretty well as long as it can identify you.
It's not entirely automatic. The agent would still have to use the "find connection" feature. If there's a direct name and DOB match on an onward flight within 24 hours, they won't even need your e-ticket info.
