So I have an upcoming trip to Oman. I have conflicting information.
Details:
- 7 day trip on Turkish Airlines for tourism (IAH-IST-MCT-IST-ORD)
- US Passport
According to Omani Embassy in DC, 103 countries can travel visa free for tourism up to 14 days:
https://fm.gov.om/visitors/entry-visas/
According to Turkish Airlines (Sherpa) Visa Requirement Page:
"Travelers don’t require a visa if staying for 14 days or less in Oman."
According to ExpertFlyer:
Visa is required, and it provides the evisa link to apply. But then it also said Visa on Arrival is available, which I thought they don't do VoA anymore since a few years ago.
According to State:
It says visa is required (no mention about free visa up to 14 days)
https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...ages/Oman.html
According to Wiki, which also cited from Omani Police Website:
Visa free up to 10 days.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_r...tates_citizens
Obviously I don't mind applying for an eVisa if required (about $50), but why would I if I'm eligible for a free visa. But my concern is, should VoA no longer an option, will I get denied boarding on TK? Because I don't know if TK is looking at Timatic or Sherpa or Omani Gov website or something else.
If anyone have a recent experience, please share - I will greatly appreciate that!
