Hello everyone,

Looking for advice. I and my wife fly to Portland, stay there for 3 nights and then need to drive one way back to Reno.

I am planning first to rent a small car at PDX for 2 days the day after arrival, while we are in the city, and on the third day, return the car and get one, bigger (need to carry about 200lb-300lb of stuff) for one way one-day rental.

My question: does it makes sense to return the first 2-days rental at a city location (it will be Monday morning) and get the bigger car there? I do know that renting at airports is more expensive compared to city locations. It it is better to return car at PDX and try my chance with Ultimate Choice, if Hertz has it there?
