Unlike Hades, nicolas75 and some others I find the pictures depressing as they clearly show that the Amstel hasn't received any update since the '90. And it clearly shows in a lot of pictures that it is in dire need for some refurbishment (e.g. the tartan carpet in the bar is forgiving due to it's dark pattern but I know how many spilt drinks it is hiding). This could be an amazing place again if they'd only invest some money into it.
