Given the legal minimum notice of a strike is 14 days that’s plenty of time to plan / replan should one be on slickvik travel day.

it’s possible to do MAN - BHX without using Avanti - vis Piccadilly then cross country to New Street then West Midlands Trains to Birmingham international

But that assumes they are transferring between airports and they aren’t going somewhere else in Birmingham.
