I'm a KLM FB Gold member = Skyteam Elite Plus. I want to book a domestic flight with Aeromexico, a Skyteam member (directly, no reward ticket or ticketed by DL/KL/AF).
I see conflicting info whether or not i get free baggage allowance with the cheapest fare, Basic fare.
The customer support is not helpful - on the phone i get sent in circles, on social media i'm being told to call Skyteam (...)

On the website ( aeromexico . com/en-us/travel-information/baggage/baggage-allowance ) it says
Club Premier - Gold - / SkyTeam® / Delta member benefits are not applicable on class “V” Basic Rate purchases for flights from and into domestic, U.S., and Canadian destinations. -> looks like a no-go
However, when you scroll down, and you select Skyteam / mexico, it dinstinguishes between Elite and Elite Plus
Elite: 1 extra piece of the same weight and size according to the fare class purchased. Not applicable for fare class "V" See terms and conditions
Elite Plus: 1 extra piece of the same weight and size according to the fare class purchased. See terms and conditions

This is confusing and doesnt provide me confidence.
Anyone who can tell more?
