Why you were shutdown can affect your resurrection. 1) credit line, and 2) how willing Chase is to let you open a second card (assuming your Ink card stays open.) For example, if you were shutdown for suspected bust-out fraud, then Chase may be stingy with credit line and downright apoplectic at giving you another card anytime soon. If however the shutdown was for something lesser, say, manufactured spend, then you might be better off.
RNE, opining that Chase's labyrinthine policies are a mystery to everyone -- even Theseus.
I was in a country that ALL the banks were shut down with all kinds of restrictions --Citi sent me an e/m saying-- we know you are in.... if you need money use ATM, and we will not charge any fee ( I thought that was great customer service )--- I called Chase and told them the story and they agreed to do the same ---
Went to a ATM EVERY DAY FOR ABOUT 2/3 WEEKS to accumulate cash think about 10-15k- and each time Chase removed the fee, I paid the "loan" as soon as it showed on C.C. account FROM A CHASE CHECKING ACCOUNT -- a few months later Chase closed all my c.c. and checking acct-- gave me 30 days to transfer or use my points -spoke to "everyone" to explain - no help -- assume they thought I was laundering money somehow since the transaction are not normal -- while doing it never I thought it would cause a problem
