Do I need an infant ticket for US Domestic flight?
Hey all,
I have been reading a few threads re: infant carriage so am familiar with all the arguments regarding seats for infants or not but I have a couple of questions that I cannot seem to find answers to.
We are expecting our second in January but I need to book a flight from MCO to New Orleans in early May - my dilemma is that we obviously do not have a name to add to the booking. When calling Delta they seemed to suggest that, unlike International flight, I did not need a ticket just to bring along a birth certificate. If this is the case can I just book a ticket for wife and 2YO and not mention youngster - online booking is pretty basic.
The problem I have with regard to a seat for baby is that coming from the UK we have different rules for car seats and the car seat we have makes no mention of using on aircraft so it may not fit even if we do have an extra seat. However if I do decide to book an extra seat I assume I can do this later?
Any comments?
