If you are able to request an interview, I would recommend doing that and clear it up. Print out everything both revocation and approval letters and bring them to the interview. Try the site TTPtracker to keep an eye on cancellations of existing interviews and try to schedule them immediately after you get a notification. I think they are released in batches every Monday morning, not necessarily only for months later. Or next time you are near the border try to check in at one of the interview places. Most likely you’ll be told only people with scheduled interviews are allowed but no harm in asking.
I assume the
CBPVC (at) cbp.dhs.gov address didn’t work? The Williston mailing address is dead for sure. Failing that, it seems the request reconsideration option is now a button only shown to those for whom it is an option (denied/revoked), which your application may or may not be.
From an official FAQ:
https://ttp.dhs.gov/faqIf you feel the decision was based on inaccurate information, you may file a Reconsideration Request by logging into your Trusted Traveler Programs account. If you are eligible to file a Reconsideration Request you will find the
Request Reconsideration button in the Program Memberships section of your Dashboard.
Reconsideration Requests and attachments to the Ombudsman should be in English and must include the following details:
- Date of denial and denial reason shown in notification letter posted to applicant’s account;
- Summary of information to further clarify a record or explain an incident or arrest; and
- Attach court disposition documentation in PDF format for all arrests or convictions, even if expunged.
VERY helpful info, xobile, for all of those still stuck in limbo.
Especially the part about the "RR" button not being available if you are for some reason "ineligible".
It certainly was invisible to me, but if my (just received) APPROVAL is accurate (the REVOKED Notification has now disappeared from my Dashboard), then I must not have been ineligible. Or perhaps I was ineligible because the REVOCATION was false!
And why would I have been specifically instructed to use such a non-existent button by CBP info if that HAD been so?
No, the system is mightily messed up.
I think the Senatorial inquiry may have made CBP aware of the incredible angst this was causing so many squeaky clean citizens, and/or more staff was assigned to correct the AI mistakes.
TG. Now if only my very ill spouse is fortunate enough to get past the quagmire.
And WOW! What a boon is TTP Tracker! It will even notify you when new appts open up.
Looks like there are quite a few available in Blaine at least starting in early March.
Thankfully, I don't seem to need one, and if I receive my card in 3 wks as you predict and it activates, I am done with this sorry saga (myself) for another 5 yrs....
Thank you for your insights and inside info!
