Sorry, forgot to add this piece in my summary trying to understand. So, after 33-years with Hertz, he leaves because he was denied a car once for a valid reason? Something still doesn't add up to me. I would say (s)he has been very lucky. Crap happens and it seems it was rectified very quickly.
