I find this A380 situation interesting as we have an upcoming trip on BA from Texas to London. My first inclination was to use Avios for CW on the A380 service from DFW to LHR.

However, when I discovered that BA was operating the A350 from AUS to LHR featuring the reportedly much improved CS cabin, we booked biz class seats on this flight even though we will have to fly an extra leg from DFW to AUS on AA.
