Just to update the above question with a resolved datapoint...

My AUs signed up for TSA PreCheck and were directed to an application center within a local Staples retail store. They did not pay at the time of their online application but rather in-store.

February 02 - Charge listed as pending under "Identogo-uepues" vendor
February 07 - Charge posts under revised "Idemia TSA PreCheck Billerica MA" vendor
February 07 - Received credit for each application, listed as "TSA Global Entry Fee Credit"

I appreciate the difference between Global Entry and PreCheck but all of this was a bit different than my last Global Entry application, so I just wanted to post this info in the event that others find the process a little janky.
