My wife and I will be visiting in July. We are only taying one day before moving to Hyatt LGA the next day. But for the first day we are looking to stay reasonably close to Penn station and Midtown area. We are only explorist so probably wouldn't get any special treatment either way. So essentially we are looking for nice hotel and bang for the buck. Right now we are booked at the Grayson for the cash rate.. I am also considering the Hyatt House Chelsea cash rate, or Andaz on pts. From what I am reading on this forum, most hotels are nice but nothing special in terms of luxury. Since we are only staying one night wondering if Andaz(pts) or Grayson/other $400 hotels are worth it relative to the cheapest Hyatt Chelsea. I know it is only $70-80 extra, but I have issues paying extra for relatively the same product.
