My question is, if I end up keeping the SQ flight, can I downgrade later from flexible reward (77.5k) to lowest reward (60k) and get refunded the point difference? I've read some posts about this but it seems too good to be true and I don't fully understand how this works. Thanks!
I am not sure about downgrading your ticket later on. But change fee is only $100-$150 per ticket, while it will cost you 27.5k pts per ticket. Might be cheaper to eat that booking change cost, if the need for changing ticket arise.
