Hubby and I were up for second NEXUS renewals last year, I in spring and he in fall. I applied in Feb. Nov 30 rec'd "Processed" Conditional Approval and notified of need to schedule interview from US site. No interviews were available, EVER, virtual OR real in Wash-BC border. CBP said "keep trying".
Then last month, we both received boilerplate revocations, "you do not meet requirements" within days of each other.
Inquired and was directed to request reconsideration giving a link back to the site, but NO link apparent on the actual site (to me) on which to do so. This forum and other places suggested emails and mail to any Ombuds are nonfunctional. Sent FOIA.
Two weeks later, received Approval. Now Dashboard has two notifications: Approval and Revocation. Oh, and I have to REQUEST to receive a new card with an interview, even though mine is over a year out of date. It was at least possible to schedule an interview.
Contacted a local Immigrations Lawyer who says he has received a spate of such stories recently, which suggests to him there is a systemic problem. He says people have gone for interviews and been told "we don't know anything" (and can't do anything).
Anyone else here stuck in this vortex? If so, were you able to request reconsideration? I'm not sure I should do so, given the Approval, but would at least like to know how to in case the Revocation is real and controlling.
What a mess.
Any advice?
Thanks!
