The wife and I have over 7M miles between our two accounts, we most certainly can and likely will occupy the entire F cabin and most of J (assuming it stays a 787-800). I'm only booking six award tickets out of the 17 total and paying cash for the rest. It's averaging out to be 360K for each award for a total of 2,160,000 (360K x 6). We have more then enough miles. Heck AA could up the mileage to over 1,000,000 per ticket and it would still work out. It's now a decision of using miles for more of the tickets vs paying cash.

My concern of using more miles is what would happen in the case of irrops, would they put the wife, myself, my daugher, her finance, my son and his wife in business on another airline if we are on an award ticket? We are leaving almost a full week before the wedding but it's still December so who knows about weather, let alone AA's mechanical issues they always seem to have so don't really want to experience it for the first time on this particular trip. The miles are anticipated to be used for girfriends of my daughter so I don't personally care if they had to sit in coach due to an irrop situation lol. We are waying our options.

I'm waiting to hear back from the AF group sales department to see what they offer vs what AA offered which was just a small percentage off the cost of each ticket. Group wasn't large enough for anything else apparently.
