Some origins in Europe have cheap oneway tickets to the US. I booked IST-FRA-IAH on UA for $600 yesterday and upgraded with PlusPoints (PZ was available so it cleared on booking). I think WAW also had cheap oneway Y fares on UA, as well as other cities (didn’t do an exhaustive check).
There are also Tunisia-US J fares on UA/LH in the region of $800-900 in business oneway, bookable on UA’s website. Tunis is a short hop from much of Europe. Finally, TAP also has cheap oneway J fares that you can credit to UA.
