This is happening to me today. Dropped off at LAX this morning, and the rep said I would get an emailed receipt. 12 hours later no receipt, and I can see in the app the gas guage is going down, and the car is driving around LA. I called customer service and they said don't worry about it and the location has 3 days to close out the rental.
How is this even possible that their system let's it be rented a second time without closing out the prior rental? Unless the gate agent just let this random person take the car out under my name/rental?
