Only commenting since I was just looking at this in July, and it is absolutely outrageous. I ended up putting five of us on United at about $600 a ticket, but with the times that we wanted and a much lower risk of getting stuck should something go wrong. Every time I fly JB to DEN something goes comically sideways (highlights include a four hour delay, two hour delay and having my lunch thrown away by accident, getting stuck on top of a mountain with a flat tire, and once getting on the wrong plane and waking up in BOS). Maybe if I don't fly JB, things will go better -- I flew DL there once and it was pretty seamless.

DEN has always seemed to be pretty expensive in the summer, but the JB rates are especially unreasonable. I was even looking at award tickets and they wanted on average 40k each way. Not in a million years.
