I was flying back to Gatwick from Marrakech at the weekend and BA thoughtfully emailed me a special offer: "upgrade from Economy to Club Europe for just £90 per passenger". So I said I'd treat my wife and clicked on the red button to take up the offer. I tried several times and each time the system returned the error "Incremental price Error occurred during retrieving equivalent fare currency". So BA lost £180 of extra revenue on a half empty flight and annoyed my wife! I tried at the airport but was told this was an online offer only, and the extra would be about £300 (and they had no spare meals in Club anyway). What a shame that a great brand is being spoilt by this sort of thing while challengers such as Easyjet have a really slick and bug-free IT system. Sad.
