Hello Chianeastern, welcome to FlyerTalk and the Emirates forum in particular.

The easiest way to see if a particular aircraft has the new F is by looking at the seat map. If it shows 6 seats, it is New F, if it shows 8, it is 'old' F.
Be aware that less than 10% of the 77W fleet has new F, so the chances are not great that you will get one. They are generally used on specific routes, GVA, BRU were favourite in the past, I am not sure which ones are now.
You can see the seat maps in Expertflyer.com, a free account gives you a limited number of seat chart queries.
Also, if you know the registration of the aircraft concerned: A6-EQH and newer have new F. The last one is A6-EQP, which is EK's final 77W delivery (30 November 2018)
