I m with you, thats why I bought a flexible PE ticket, if it won t upgrade I move the date. Anyhow here are the final figures, it´s approx 2460€ for the two of us including the needed extra piece of luggage vs. 5670€ incl, the needed luggage. Are we in an insane region already?
