VS is preparing to join SkyTeam, so I suspect that the Sky Priority changes are going to be VS branding things as Sky Priority. I can't imagine a particular reason to take priority check in / security / boarding away from STE+.

Since VS is joining SkyTeam, it seems odd for them to change the policy and remove lounge access for DL PM/DM unless the policy changes across the entire alliance. I could see DL doing this in the name of "product consistency", but it is odd.

I think you got a poorly informed check-in agent.
