I have a N=7 sample of flying across oceans with <12mo kids, not all on AC. We had access to the bassinet in 5 of those, and in only one instance was it useful. (It was glorious and amazing! Let me not downplay that! But it was one of 7 times.)

Much better chance of success:

• snuggling in a pod, then extricating with a tucked in/swaddled kid to escape to another ottoman or seat
• just baby-wearing in a bjorn/wrap/ergo and letting sleep happen when it does
