Did 8 nights here. Located right in center of city in a high end shopping area, close to old town and other sights. Check in was easy enough at small little podium for check in at entrance to hotel.
Used a suite upgrade for Lily Dam suite so my experiences and reviews of the room are based on that. It has a bed and a separate couch area that has bedding and is honestly pretty comfortable as a separate sleeping area. Suite was a healthy size, two bathrooms, one with shower and bath. Shower was small and strangely designed so that it was very hard for water to not spill out and run onto bathroom floor while you showered. There was no door, which was understandable given how small the shower space was (although it is large to move around and shower in so it is not uncomfortable), but with water easily spraying off you and bouncing out as you shower, you would think they would maybe install a little plastic strip or something across the entrance of the shower to just stop water from running out. Regardless, the shower is good, solid water pressure with a rain shower head and the temperature gets hot almost instantly.
Location is excellent, right in the middle of town and walking distance from most everything...we walked to the old town, the central station and others every day with no issues. Tons of good places to eat, bakeries, tourist areas, central train station all within a few minutes to 15 at most walking.
Breakfast appeared free for everyone and was fine...assortment of a few items, couple of meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurts, bacon and powdered eggs. All decent quality and just fine for breakfast but it does not change AT ALL. Every day it was identical and after 6 days we went to nearby bakery and had excellent breakfast for last 2 days at Stora bageriet nearby (superb cinnamon rolls and other stuff like a delicious Semla porridge). A little variance would be nice, but it is also not as bad as some reviews make it sound. Quality was solid...good breads, fruit, meats, some minimal hot items as mentioned, minor pastry assortment, even a couple "gluten free" items if that is your thing, plus a little coffee machine and a few juices. Definitely not bad at all but it does get boring after a few days. Maybe rotate in some different meats, maybe make some pancakes or something or sausages etc every few days, change yogurts every so often, etc. Still not terrible by any stretch though.
Some odd stuff for sure in hotel decor and style...front desk was frequently unmanned and it is just a little podium at entrance with one person at it...at times. The scent they pump into the halls is kind of obnoxious...a little strong for sure and not at all that great...they could definitely stand to tone down the pimp juice as it is overpowering at times when you walk around. Decor of the hotel is strange to say the least...right in front of door to the suite in the hall is a pair of very large and strange pictures...one of a close up of a woman intensely looking at the camera with a creepy stare and one of a dentist pulling out a woman's tooth as she is in a dentist chair, and he has forceps in her mouth while both of them are looking at camera, with a tray with bloody gauze and a tooth in the photo...it is just weird and almost disturbing. Honestly the motif of the hotel is a lot of that kind of odd ball stuff...playlist names in the elevator for bar music like "something to get ****faced to" and other strange stuff. Not my vibe overall. Also, was told only bottled water placed in room was sparkling and they did not have an option to have still water placed in room. Strange for sure...but honestly the tap water there is clean tasting so it was not an issue but definitely weird to only have carbonated water in bottles.
Overall, paid about $125 USD a night and with the a suite upgrade I was very pleased with it overall. It was a fantastic deal although the suite made it worthwhile, good size etc, but would probably take issue with a standard room at that price though since they are like 130sq ft, which I cannot imagine I would be as happy with. No issues with the room itself, water pressure, housekeeping, etc though. Certainly not perfect or without some quibbles, but given the important things like location (superb), overall quality of the room (good), breakfast (satisfactory especially for stays of a few days or less) and value for price (excellent with suite upgrade, probably less for a really basic tiny room), I would not hesitate to stay here again in Stockholm.
