I was hoping someone could advise me on what is the best approach to my 'problem'?
I have no status in IHG and I am staying at 6 senses Yao Noi for 10 nights, I have to pre pay 30 days before arrival & this charge will be enough for 120k qualified points which will take me straight to diamond elite. Will this happen and I will the 100% bonus on points?

Other option is to pay $200 to join IC ambassador get platinum status and get 60% bonus points and hope I get the diamond bonus at some point

There are quite a lot of points at stake so wanted to maximise earnings.
