The doors will open on both sides, don't exit towards the car rental counters on the right side of the train, use the center platform exit (left side), walk across the center platform to the train waiting to go back to the terminals. Not a lot of walking if you use the center platform.

Was there last Tuesday, arrived around midnight, inner loop was not running. Didn't see any signage. We wasted 24 minutes doing this. On the way back, I noticed we sat at the rental car center with the outbound train just sitting there also. In the worst case if there's no train waiting there, you would catch the same one going back.

Don't forget to enjoy breakfast in the morning.
