PlatePass is a scam of a business that should be investigated. Having said that, people in our office have discovered that you can't fight PlatePass toll or ticket charges by getting your credit card company to reverse the charge, as Hertz will then put you on the DNR list. Sounds like that is what happened to the OP here.
Although the Hertz Rewards program has been devalued, many of us have tens of thousands of points. Most people don't want to just walk away from that.
Whatr eelse would you expect the car hire company to do if you dispute the charge and it does get reversed ? if there is a mistake in what is charged, then can address directly
