My husband and I each have a trip credit and I would like to use the trip credits to purchase tickets to Aruba. When I tried booking online it said I could not apply a trip credit with 2 people on a reservation. It said I need to book them separately.

My husband has Platinum status and I would like to book both of us together. Does anyone know a way around this? I tried calling AA to ask but was on hold for over an hour and gave up.
