We recently returned from six nights at this property. I think the recent information on this thread is pretty accurate. I’ll just add my thoughts and experience as another data point.

Last October, we were able to find six consecutive nights at the standard points rate in Late January. I had been searching for awhile in a three week window. With the 5th night free, it cost us 600K points. The cash rate at the time was about $1600 per night (including taxes and fees). A pretty good value for HH points in my opinion! The base room category is Pacific View. However, our reservation immediately showed as Ocean View. I guess this was an upgrade?

We received no additional upgrade at check-in, and he indicated there were no paid options either. We were put in room 921. This building is at the far east end of the resort. I was concerned that the room was directly over the Beach Club and the Kids Club. However, we didn’t find any noise issues in our limited time in the room during the day, and it was very quiet at night. We actually liked being so close to the beach and pools.

I would give the service an A+. I really can’t recall a single interaction that wasn’t good. Admittedly, we’re pretty low maintenance, but still…

Overall, I’d say the food and beverage was a B. Dinner one night at Don Manuel’s was underwhelming. Not terrible, but just kind of bland. We upgraded to the full buffet for $10 each on the days we ate at the resort. Overall, it was pretty good. A few misses but perhaps just a matter of personal tastes. The specialty drinks at the pool didn’t really do it for us. They do the traditional margaritas well, but everything else seemed to lack much flavor. I guess for $25, I expect it to taste great. We had a club sandwich one day and a burrito another. They were both very good, and could easily be split.

The one dining highlight was Travesia, the nine taco / cocktail tasting. They will take up to ten people, but on this night it was just my wife and I. It was very cool to have the Sommelier and Chef come out and explain each course. The food was fantastic. My wife is not a huge seafood fan, but she ate every bite of four seafood based courses. I highly recommend this.

The adult pool is warmer than the beach club pool.

It’s ten degrees warmer on the other side of the tunnel.

Will almost certainly return.
