Are there rules as to how often you can do TWOV, or whether you can re-enter China immediately (or the next day) after you exit?

I’m not sure if there is a limit on TWOV or a duration between trips that must be adhered to in order to enter. From the rules it seems like there is no such limit, but who knows the reality on the ground. Maybe someone on here can test it out for us and report back after 3 or 4 TWOV trips in quick succession.
My question:
Can you do these trips in succession?
SFO-PVG-HKG
HKG-PVG-NRT
NRT-HGH or PVG-HKG
etc etc
All flights.
