We were on a Jet2 charter from LGW to CMF, just about to push back, when we were told we would be delayed for an indefinite period. The airport were expecting the plane to land and then remain on the runway, blocking it for everybody else. As it happened, it landed and immediately exited. So whatever the problem was it wasn’t as bad as ATC/LGW were apparently planning for. That said, maybe that’s just standard procedure for any situation of this sort?
