Not a a new build. Though, it is being renovated.

Always been a no-chain hotel there before. At least since I moved to the street next to it back in 2014 . Often had my parents stay there when they were visiting me.

For the right price, the hotel location will be awesome.

* It is at the south end of Brick Lane. I.e awesome weekend food market.
* Aldgate East station just around the corner (Not even a 1 min walk)
* If you have an interest for Jack the Ripper, most tours start around the corner too.
* Shoreditch is just a 15 min walk, if you want to have a good night out.
* The best bagel shop in London (imho) is located 5 min away.
* The whole area has been renovated the last years. It looks nothing like when I moved there, anymore.

Cons:
* For the classical tourist things, it is a bit too much to the east (thinking about regent street, piccadilly circus, Hyde Park etc).
