I'll agree it's probably not likely that it is going to happen, but one can always try.
I have been successful in getting a free same day rebooking to an earlier flight out of CPH (Airport).
To be honest I suspect my success had more to do with the fact that the CPH-IST flights are always rammes to the rafters, then good service.
