Priority Boarding is Group 2.
E+ does not get Priority Boarding, as the others have said.
No scam in the offer as it would move you up to BG2. -- is it worth it is a different question. Usually BG3 does not have issues getting overhead space but it may be a row or two away.

For those without Priority Boarding, BG3 is windows seats , BG5 is Basic Economy and BG4 is the rest
