Yup, here's another example searching LAX to HND the only first class options are things like
BUR to SEA
SEA to SFO
SFO to HND
BUR to SEA and SFO to HND are both in first, SEA to SFO in main.
Basically no matter where on the west coast I want to start from, it insists on flying me on 2 other Alaska Air segments before putting my on JAL first originating in SFO or LAX.
If I search FROM SFO or LAX I get the same 2-stop garbage originating in nearby but not quite airports (like SJC or BUR), flying me AWAY from the area, then back to SFO or LAX before putting me in first on JAL.
