Basically, E+ listed in "Groups 3-5" on the UA site. I'd assume (and please correct me if I'm wrong) E+ would be put in Group 3 while non-E+ or preferred seats would be in higher group numbers. Group 2 includes "Customers who have purchased Premier Access or Priority Boarding". IMO not worth paying for Priority boarding.
