A special meal will guarantee you you choice but their quality is really hit and miss. They are mostly ok from the large outstations, i.e. ex-ZRH. VGML should also be decent ex-DEL for example but no guarantee.
Depending on the kids' age, you may want the CHML booked for them (I think this is automatic for <12). Take a look at some of the menus (and pre-order options)
on this thread to see whether they'd like that style of food. For picky teenagers the pre-order (only ex-ZRH) are good options.
