I've stayed at the HR in Polanco, not at any of the other properties mentioned in the thread. I'll speak solely on location.

St Regis would be my favorite location. We love Zona Rosa, where you have tons of Korean food, a nice vibrant feel, and you're very close to Calle Genova which is a fun and popular pedestrian street. The walk to the Sevilla metro station makes it easy to get to Centro (if you're ok with public transit...the CDMX subway is very nice by US standards)

HR Polanco would be my next choice for you, as Polanco would be the safest-feeling neighborhood among the urban core.

The Andaz and other HR are not in bad areas at all, and actually I would think that at some point you would enjoy visiting those areas. But they're just not the prime locations that the other two are in.

When it comes to typical "touristy" things (both good and bad), the vast majority will be in Centro or Chapultepec Park. Hence St Regis and HR Polanco being best located for such.
