Not in my experience. I’ve flown BA more times than I can (or care to) remember, sometimes parking my backside on a BA seat much more than on my sofa at home. To some degree I suppose I do have a soft spot, but disappointment is something I’ve not often experienced. But then, I’m a simple soul and not looking for ‘a luxury experience of a lifetime’ which is all well and good as I can’t really recall BA promising me that. I just want a hassle free, comfortable journey - not ‘an experience’.
