It is really too bad the situation is so dire in the UK (as are the ludicrous plain packaging laws and the lack of flavored cigarettes) because there are some rather nice smoking lounges at airports around the world (e.g., the well-designed outdoor zones in KEF, RIX, and LCA, while in SOF & OTP you can smoke indoors in special areas of the business lounges). Even in the famously puritan US of A, where the government seems to likewise be a firm believer in morally policing its citizens, many airports have smoking rooms.
Indeed, I no longer spoke but find it ridiculous that airports wouldn’t find somewhere for people to have a smoke, that doesn’t impact anyone else.

OP, buy a vape and have a cheeky puff somewhere where there’s no one else around.
