Haven’t checked but GVA, BSL, ZRH, MXP/LIN should all be valid departure points for KRK. Just make sure you can double connect in CDG/AMS for 90xp.
Back in 2020 some OTA had some shady deals at 400€ but now 500-600€ range should be the target.

I believe GVA is a Easyjet hub? That should help positioning if you ever need to fly somewhere. Just beware of self connecting. How many XP do you have? What are your longhaul travel patterns.

Keep an eye out on the mileage run and the premium fare deals threads, skyteam partners such as saudia periodically have very nice fares that can transform a simple XP run into a little trip to exotic destinations like the 450€ Saudia error fare to Dubai.

When it comes to your use for status, 1500xp is a lot, if you have the disposable income over the next 5 years it might be worth it, but you have to be sure you’ll travel enough to justify going through this. If you only travel longhaul a couple of times a year then it probably isn’t (even though skypriority and lounge access are definitely nice to haves).

If you plan on having a job that requires you to travel after you finish your studies and you just want to bridge the gap for a couple years, then it probably is worth it.
