Good to have another TR from Seat 2a. Been a long time between drinks. A very varied trip both geographically and flights/rides. Must have been a lot of planning for those scenic train rides and the flights. That book Tourist Train Guidebook looks a good resource.

Pity about Kiwiland. September a good time to visit. That SQ flight from CHC would be overlooked by many. NZ has had a ETA since Oct 2019. At least can be done online. With AU the ETA is only available via a phone app. If no phone app need to apply for another AU visa type (subclass600) at AU$150 and days to process. I have a 2016 Smartphone, with no installed apps, that is dumb by today’s models. But can make phone calls and take pictures. All I need and want.
