Yes you generally have to show the card, a minor annoyance - that and you have to schlep to the end and back to get there but oh well.

I guess UA just wants the turn from SFO for the 7A but they are dumb to have it so early given the customs /security situation early AM at YYZ. I try to do flights > 9:30. preferably 11A onward..
