You would think this question has been asked before but I couldn't find any after some searching. Maybe until recently there have not been many choices. But now we have Andaz, HR and the new HR Insurgentes, the last of which accepting reservation for March and onwards. It's next to World Trade Center.

This is a leisure trip for a family of 4 with two teenage boys. It's our first time to be in Mexico City. We are okay with walking around to see the landmark buildings. We are not that into museums. We like to explore for local food and shopping experiences. Safety is important and a safe, lively and walkable area is much appreciated. We probably will stay at St Regis for a few days. With Hyatt, I'll have a couple of 1-4 certs to burn - in that sense maybe Andaz is the 'best value'? But I do like the Regency Clubs so that we can grab things to eat, even if we will go out later in the day for the real dinners. I'm globalist with suite upgrade to use.
