Airlines CX can rebook onto in case of cancellation
hi there, I have a friend who is in a pickle at the moment:
he had booked FRA-HKG-NGO in PY and first the HKG-NGO got cancelled a while ago and they rebooked him onto HKG-KIX.
Now, his HKG-KIX got axed too, in the latest round of cancellations.
So, what are his options? I would have thought that the best would be to rebook onto JL FRA-TYO-NGO, but apparently the CX call center wouldn't rebook him onto JL, saying it all has to go through HKG. (Which is ironic, considering all the cancellations and rebooking they have to do ATM)
What are his options? CX must have agreements with their oneworld partners and other airlines for rebooking in case of disruptions?
I am not familiar with CX policies for rebooking onto other airlines and unfortunately cxagents.com needs a login to access the info, and I am not a travel agent...
Thanks!
