The whole thing about having to differentiate between alliance members and partners, and indeed SQ themselves when searching seems unnecessarily complicated in any case.
Just one of a few reasons why I came to regret investing in the scheme and will be asking for our accounts to be closed once we've managed to use as many of our few remaining miles as possible.
hmmmm. why so? maybe because the majority of Singapore and Southeast Asia flyers probably never heard of Alaska Airlines, not mentioning booking an award flight on Alaska Airlines. I hardly believe Krisflyer(not Singapore Airlines, but the frequent flyer program) has reached to the world to promote itself.
Just as I hardly will choose British Airways Avios as a program to actively participate.
Most flyers probably benefit from staying with their home programs instead of venturing out to some exotic programs they read on some blogs......
