I didn’t end up touching the ticket in the app. I went to the check-in agent as I wanted to stay on UA metal for the BIS, PQF, etc. and standby for an earlier flight while keeping my upgrade.

As an aside, the ticket still got messed up. The check in agent only issued me a standby boarding pass which cleared as I was going through immigration, but into economy and I wasn’t on the upgrade list. I had the gate agent re-confirm me in F but my fare class still remained G instead of ZG and the segment showed as waitlisted in the app.

This also happened on Sunday when I was cleared into J as a standby on a P fare but the app showed the segment as waitlisted. It was part of a longer, multi-city itinerary and I was worried the segment wasn’t showing up as “flown” and the rest of my segments would be cancelled. PQP and RDM also posted incorrectly but I’m not going to be able to address that until I complete the rest of the trip.
