Some people gush over imported cold cuts, local cooked dishes, while I really appreciate fresh coconut juice and mango. Bangkok bfast I found better than one in WA is Four Seasons. Not for abundance of food variety, but I really like the high quality of the (limited) offerings, the (relatively) peaceful atmosphere and the river setting. But THE one breakfast dish I found truly memorable is the French toast with a scoop of ice cream at Hyatt Regency Bangkok!
Obviously entirely subjective, but I definitely hold WA breakfast a notch above Capella, MO and Rosewood. Haven't stayed at FS or The Siam though, so can't comment there. These are the places I think would at least have the potential give WA a run for its money on this front. Properties like PH, Shangri-La, Peninsula, StR can't even compare imo.
To be clear, WA has many faults and some of the properties mentioned above far outshine it from a holistic perspective -- but the breakfast (at least when I stayed) was very special.
