Well, my stay is in early March, so I have time to decide. Though as mentioned it's getting really hard.
Pros for the Siam Kempinski:
- GHA Titanium
- Better located
- 20% cheaper while higher room category
Pros for WA:
- better breakfast
- newer rooms
- great view
Sadly I only have Gold Status and I heard so much about the noise issues because of the construction site. It really needs to be something special, because it's a birthday present for my mother (showing her Bangkok).
It's a first world problem, but it's really hard to decide which one will have that "wow" factor.
If it helps in making your decision… I wasn’t ‘blown away’ by the breakfast at the WA. I mean it was ‘nice’, but I didn’t get to the ‘oh my gosh this is the best ever’. A few months since I’ve stayed there and I’ve already forgotten it!
It was more a ‘standard’ hotel breakfast you’d expect from a five star rather than being over and above.
